Well, the bug finally bit. I used Joann's Rainbow Boucle, and I loved the yarn for crocheting with (although sewing the sleeves together with it was a pain in the tookas).

I'll have to consider it practice though... it needs to be about 2 stitches wider. And because of the yarn, if I add a strip it'll show, big time.

So I think I'll just scrap the first one (or turn it into a pooh bear straight jacket) and start over. 9 1/2 inches by 4 feet, here I come!

The one plus was that I found out the sleeve length went perfectly to my wrists (although pooh can't say the same) after exactly 2 repeats. It hasn't been completely in vain I suppose.

And, this is the kind of pictures you get when you're home alone and don't know how to use the timer on the camera. The sad thing is, the sleeves fit Pooh as tightly as they fit me. :eek

Hehe...Pooh is so in fashion. :lol . You did a great job. Looks like you ahve the same color sensations as me, light blue. I recently meade my first shrugs, and I lived and learned also. I sewed up Erica's arms the wrong way first...:blush . But I think I have it down pretty good, and ones that I make for me won't be as wide. But that is good thing about shrugs, you can change them up a lot.

Great job!

I like that, makes me want to finish my cocoon.

I really want some of that rainbow boucle but there's no JoAnn's anywhere in Mississippi.

Anne,

I just made a sweater/shrug with the same yarn and the actually piecing together was a hump! This yarn is nice because of it's shading, but I think I'll stick to a shawl with it. Live and learn........
