I've been working on a halloween purse/bag.

I wanted to put some bats on it, and thought I found a good bat graph to follow, but it turns out that if I use that particular one the purse will be a tote bag. I don't really need a halloween tote bag. I did try to shrink it, but I'm just not capable. It always comes out strange looking.

I tried Carol Ventura's cat pattern, but that's just not the look I'm going for. I want it to be more easily identifiable as 'halloween' - not just a bag with cats on it. That graph is 13 rows, and that would be OK, but I'd like it to be smalller....

So I'm looking for a small graph of a bat. Maybe 10 rows or less? OK - even 13 rows or less?

Thank you for any help you can give!

That is very pretty, but I think the first link is more like what I was looking for. I'll post back and let you know how it works out! I'm working in the round, so I may have to adjust it a bit here and there.

Thank you for your help!

Craziebunny,
That first graph worked out great! Thank you! :hug

I finished the bag today.
Unfortunately, I wasn't happy with the overall project and frogged it.
DH just looked at me...he didn't say a word, but I could tell he thought I was nuts.

I just figured that if I wasn't happy with it, I wouldn't use it, and there was no point in going through the trouble of putting a handle on it and lining it if I already knew I wasn't happy with it. The bat looked great, but I just made it too big. The base was too large, and I put too much design before the bat, so I had to balance that with design after the bat.... Blah. I just frogged it. On to other things in my WIM list! Maybe I'll try another halloween purse next year.

Thank you to Granny Square, too! :hug
I appreciate the help from both of you!
Sometimes things just don't turn out like you envision, you know?
