This is Donna's (Ninakate's) pattern and I tested it for her. Of course, I used a different yarn and made the it more shrug like rather than cardigan like. I did make this for a friend, who wears about an 8/10.
I used Microspun in Ebony and this came out so soft and beautiful!
The pattern is awesome, easy to change sizes for and easy to follow.

Wow, that is beautiful, and so elegant looking! All you did was make the pattern shorter and add ties at the bottom? I think I'll be on the lookout for her pattern.

Actually, what I did was use a thicker yarn than was called for and the I hook. This made is smaller than the pattern. I did have to add two extra rows to the body to make it the right length. I think if you make it using a very thin boucle or yarn between fingering/sportsweight, it would come out a larger size. I used the Microspun, which says sportsweight, but I think is more WW. I also could have used a larger hook to make it bigger.
This is about a size 8/10 and only used 2 1/2 skeins of Microspun.
The pattern is easy to follow and you do the measurements by holding the starting chain across your shoulders and adding an inch or two.
Donna is selling the pattern on ebay. Do a search on ebay for "adina" and the pattern will come up (I tried a link, but ebay is having server problems-or I am)
