I have a dilemma. I went to the Dollar Tree store this morning and found 4 skeins of Patons Divine (bulky) in a Deep Earth color...I love it and of course purchased it. I am bummed that they only had 4 but I will take what I can get for a dollar!

Anway my problem is that I would love to make a shawl or wrap with this yarn...its so pretty and I think it would look wonderful....does anyone know of any (free) patterns that I uses these on? There is 3.5 oz and 100g in a skein and I can't seem to find anything that will use this little yarn....

Thanks in advance for your help!

How about the Super Simple Shawl (http://www.crochetnbeads.com/files/CP%20Simple%20Shawl.pdf)pattern from CrochetnBeads.com?

You wouldn't need to put the fuzzy rows.

Or maybe you could take this pattern and just make it as long as you want, and then add as much width as your yarn allows:

Sensational Scarf (http://bloomingpatterns.blogspot.com/2008/07/sensational-scarf.html)

I made a scarf for my DD using a yarn similar to the one you've got - it was a mohair blend. It turned out so nice that I'm considering making a wrap for myself with that pattern. I used a K hook to achieve a more open design.
There's a picture of it on my picturetrail page.

There is a Speed Hook shawl pattern on LionBrand website that uses ONE skein of Mohair yarn.

I just wanted to let you know, there are some patterns on www.patonsyarns.com (http://www.patonsyarns.com) for Divine. I looked there the other day because my mother called me and told me that they had it at the dollar store here too.

There is one for a wrap, scarf and hat, sweater, jacket. I know you said that you only had a few balls of yarn, but they have a few patterns written for that yarn there. You just have to register to get access to the free patterns.

I was fortunate enough to get enough yarn of different colors to make 2 and maybe 3 afghans. I got 10 of the earth brown and am going to use 3 pink to go with it for one afghan. The other one is white, light blue, denim blue and black. It is working up to be a beautiful afghan. I was extremely excited to get all this yarn for that price. :yes :)
