I was wondering if anyone has any cancer awareness patterns? For like, anything. scarves, afghans, the little ribbon thing, anything.

Cause cancer is one of those foundation things that is close to me, cause 3 years ago, my grandpa died from cancer, and last year around christmas, my grandma died fro lukemia and iwas really close to them.

anyways, any patterns will be greatly appreciated. i dont really know what i want, so i dont wanna settle with one thing, but any patterns thats free will do.

please and thank you!

Here's an awareness square (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=83160&highlight=awareness+square) our very own carovan came up with. You can do it in any color that fits your need. HTH

You're welcome. Sorry that's the only pattern I know of. Have you been to www.crochetpatterncentral.com already? I know there's chemo caps in the hat section...I'd imagine there's other awareness stuff there. I know I've seen a crocheted awareness ribbon somewhere...but I have no idea if it was here, CPC, or somewhere else altogether! :oops

theres several on c'ville, rosered has a shawl, the awareness square by carovan, theres a ribbon (like a 3dish 1 that can be pinned on lapel), cancer ribbon graph by queenofcrochet, etc. Perhaps try going to the design den, free original patterns and/or the -links threads and do a search for cancer ribbons. should turn up several options. :)

Have you looked at the 'Think Pink' book at Annie's Attic and it is on Amazon also. I have the book and it is worth the money. I used the pillow graph to make a filet crochet prayer shawl, really two of them. I made one for the church to give away and one for my cousin who has breast cancer. It is my own pattern, I just used their graph. I think I chained on about 93 stitches and worked one ribbon as shown and then the second one really looking at the pattern upside down so when you wrap the shawl around you, you have a ribbon going in both directions. I used the Baby Pink of RH and I think they look very good.
