Pineapple and Swans My newest. Take a Peek

[Katchkan]

I don't normally do novelty doilies, But When I was making my last Pineapple doily I happened to look at my soap critters pattern and could see how the two would meld well together. I have always wanted to try my swan in thread and this seemed the perfect opportunity to do so. So I ordered the light aqua thread and some snow white for the swans and went to work. I decided that water lilies would be the right finishing touch. This will be my grand daughters Christmas gift. She should enjoy this one.
Done in size 10 thread in Light Aqua, Dark hunter green, White and a golden yellow. I used my size 7 /1.65 mm hook. Hope you enjoy it.
the doily measures 16.5 inches across at the widest point. the swans measure just over 2 inches high and 2.5 inches long.
This does finish my my pineapple series.

Sometimes you just have to depart from the "norm" and make something that someone else will like. That's how I ended up making a bunch of guinea pigs and ferrets! It's very pretty, Kathy, and making it for someone you care about makes it extra special!
