I'm looking for a sun pattern, I really want a sun pillow. My son's room has glow in the dark stars and planets and I want to make him a sun pillow. :eek I just had a great idea! I'd like to make the pillow in glow in the dark yarn! That would be great, I think. So if anyone knows of a sun pillow please let me know. Thank you.

I haven't seen any patterns, but it would be pretty easy to improvise, as the base is just a circle. You'd just divide the final stitch count by however many points of the sun you want, then just do them like earflaps, decreasing on each row end until you get to one. You'd make two suns and stitch them together. Would even be easy to make the circle the size of a round pillow insert, close that all up, then do each point individually and stuff them separately, then slip stitch them to the outside of the round. This way, they would kinda flop. :) Darn, now I want to write a pattern for that. :)

What if you only did a few rows of a round ripple. Make one for the front & one for the back and stuff them.

It's too bad this is so small, maybe you could add some rows and extrapolate on the concept to make a pillow with a blue background.

Another idea but would need enlarging (and lose the CD)

LOL They do! I found a sun though on etsy. Well...first I found one on the drops site, but I found a perfect one on etsy. I just got back from getting the glow in the dark yarn. :cheer
