Spent yesterday playing with fiber and this is what I came up with:

alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v447/miracole/june23014.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">
I want to get a longer ribbon and weave it around the neck, but all in all I am quite pleased and can't wait (well yes I can actually :P ) for the cool weather to come back so I can wear it.

Thank you all for your lovely compliments. I made it up as I went along :blush - I used 1 skein of fuzzy mohair - King Cole Luxury Mohair would be a good sub - but really anything light and fuzzy, 1 size J hook and 1 size N hook. To make I crocheted a chain long enough to fit around my shoulders, the did one row HDC - searched through my Crochet Stitch Bible to find a suitable pattern - did the first few rows with the J hook then switched to the N and worked till I had enough yarn left to SC around the edges. I want to thread a longer ribbon all around the neck and tie it in front. It weighs almost nothing and is sooo soft!
