Very Easy 5-point Single Crochet Star

Our crochet group is teaching some kids how to crochet. One young 10-year-old boy is very adept at it and wants to tackle a small star. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Use the center from Beth's starghan pattern. I used that to make some red, white and blue coasters in a star shape that just turned out darling.
