Skill Level: Advanced Beginner. Must know the basics of chain and slip stitch

Description: Learn to make beautiful Beaded Ropes using Size 10 crochet thread and seed beads. Learn how different size beads and starting chains can change the look and feel of your ropes. This is a project class. After learning to create a rope, we will make a bracelet.


Supplies Needed:

Worsted Weight Yarn
40-60 Plastic Pony Beads pre-strung on worsted weight yarn
Size I (5.5 mm) and/or J (6.0 mm) crochet hook (smaller hooks are acceptable as well if student crochets loosely)
For Bracelet:

1.5 grams of size 6° seed beads in any color or color combination
Omega nylon ghread Size 5 to match beads (I recommend Crochet Style ETC (http://www.crochetstyleetc.com/allaboutomeganylon.htm) to purchase if you can't find in your local craft store)
Size 6 (1.5 mm) steel crochet hook
Jewelry clasp to match
Scissors
Hypo Cement (found in jewelry/beading area of craft stores)

The teachers probably won't be checking their class threads until registration is open. So if you post here, you might not get a response.

You can always PM the teacher with a question, especially if you might need to order materials and you want to be sure you have enough time to order an receive the materials before the class starts. If the teacher thinks it's something that would benefit everyone, she can post her reply in this thread.
