Frog Hook Holder Pattern
Pattern has not been tested. Crochet at your own risk.
Frog can also be stuffed with appropriate stuffing for toy or bean bag. If used as a bean bag an inner bag of cloth may be needed so stuffing won’t leak out.
The body is a ball or oval shape.
Materials: WW yarn - medium green, yellow, small amount light green and white. 2 7/16” buttons for eyes, black thread or yarn to sew on eyes, needle. Marbles to stuff body. Polyester Fiberfil to stuff legs. Size H crochet hook.

Body
1. With H hook and med green yarn ch 2. 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join. Mark beg. of rnd. 6 sts.
2. 2 sc in ea st arnd. 12 sts.”
3. 2 sc, 2 sc in next st around. In this rnd and those to follow, sc any “leftover” sts.
4. Sc in ea st arnd. 16 sts.
5. 3 sc, 2 sc in next st. 20 sts.

Remove marker. sc the following: 2 white, 6 green, 2 white, 28 green *4 white, 4 green, 4 white, 26 green* repeat once. There should be 2 white sts centered above 4 white sts, above the bottom 4 white sts.
12. Replace stitch marker in the stitch below the first bottom white stitch. Sc arnd. 39 sts.
13. 5 sc, sc next 2 sts tog arnd. Sc last 4 sts. 34 sts.
14. Sc arnd.
15. 5 sc, sc the next 2 sts tog arnd.
16. Change to light green. Sc arnd.
17. Change to yellow. 5 sc, sc the next sts tog arnd.

2. Sc around. Do not join. Mark beg. of rnd. 12 sts.

11. *Sc 3, sc next 2 sc tog* twice. Sc any leftover sts at the end of a round.

2. Sc in second ch from hook, sc in last ch. Ch 1, turn.

9. Sc around, End off, leaving a length of yarn for attaching to frog.
Sew or glue small bug to tongue, if desired. Attach legs.
