My Bookmarks (Note my favorite)

Here are the bookmarks I've made for the Bookmark Swap. There are more than 10 so I have to choose which ones to send. I will be making 1 or 2 more still but for now, here they are. I just realized I forgot one, can you guess which one?

Here's my favorite! It's not my own pattern. You can find it in an old Crochet With Heart magazine, February 2001. It's called Victorian Foothold. The pattern calls for lace under the boot flap but I chose to make my own lace instead. Measures 7 inches x 3 inches (heel to toe, widest part)

All images clickable for larger/better viewing. All bookmarks done with either size 3 or 10 (10 mainly) thread and either a #7 or #5 Susan Bates steel hook. About half are my own design and the others from published patterns either online or in magazines.

Please note: for those that need it, they have not been blocked or starched yet. That will be done tomorrow.

I :heart that teapot/cup bookmark! What a great idea! I've made several book thongs, but have never considered coordinating the top/bottom bead before. I love that the teapot looks like it's pouring!

But utoh .. the golden snitch pattern website is offline for exceeding its bandwidth :eek Does anyone happen to have that pattern who would be willing to share? My nephew would LOVE that and it would be a perfect stocking stuffer or package decoration for him!

I made the pattern after a post in RAOK Thank You's. I forget (sorry) who made the one I had seen but she made the original out of 2 strands of thread. If I had had brown thread, I would have used it with a smaller hook. Just thought you might like to know if you have brown & ecru thread already instead of the DenimStyle in Rodeo.
