My daughter came over yesterday, and told me about a hat she saw someone wearing that she loved and wanted to know if I could make it.
She described it as a type of beanie hat, with a flower on the side of it. sort of large holes in the pattern, which I took to mean that it is probably crocheted with an open dc pattern?
Does anyone recognize a hat that sounds something like this? I tried searching in the search forum, but I dont know what to look for. I thought maybe someone here might have made something like it and can post a pic or link, then I can show it to my daughter to see if that is what she wants made.

thank you all so much!!

I think if you check out www.yarncat.com, you're sure to find plenty of great hat patterns for your daughter to choose from. Yarncat has a great variety of hat designs and flower patterns too!

You might try headhuggers.org for a pattern I have found several ther similar to what you describe. for the flower there is one here on the forum called a versitile little flower it is really easy and very cute - Ive made several to attach to hats I've made for Christmas. :hook
