i am making my 7th sock-
the pattern(easy does it)from crocheted socks by janet rehfeldt is fairly easy-
i like the long split single crochet (lssc) for the heel-the patterns in the book have been fairly easy to follow

I'm making the Easy Does It socks, too. I'm halfway done with the second sock. My only problem has been figuring out the double crochet foundation. I finally gave up on it and just used a chain edging instead. Unfortunately, as the author warned, it makes the cuff lots less elastic.
Next pair of socks I make, I'll practice the double crochet foundation before I start and figure it out!!

i completed the second sock but did not like the way it looked-i think it was a problem with gusset again-
this morning i ripped it apart-
i was using patons kroy-the yarn was not strong and broke in several places-i was extremely disappointed with both the sock and yarn-i will try agin next week
i started yesterday another of the socks-the one with mini clusters-
this one seems to coming along ok-so far

Keep me posted on how it goes. I was almost done -- I thought -- with the gusset part of the second sock when I realized that I had only been doing one sctog on either side, instead of two. Arg!!!!! I just wasn't paying attention.

I'm super interested in branching out from the single sock pattern I've been making lately. Sounds like this is a good book for different patterns...I'll have to check it out!

I liked that pattern a lot. I made those back when I first bought the book. :) Sorry about the Kroy breaking!
