2ft Christmas tree

I want to make a crochet tree about 2 to 3 ft. Does anyone know of a patter or how to tackle a project like this?:think

What about a smaller tree I could make "bigger?"

It looks like round 14 is the last round before a decrease (I think for the bottom, but not sure). You can continue making it wider and then just taller or keep up the increase idea.

This pattern might give you an idea of what you can do.

I started it and it is easy (but not my favorite pattern so far). It's done in a strip and then wound around the cone. You could make several of these strips and then put it around a large cone or even make your own cone. I'm not sure how long of a strip you would need, so if you did several and then the last you could probably figure out how long to make the last one.
