Hiya!

I'm hoping someone can direct me towards a Christmas stocking pattern that looks more like an actual stocking... the ones I've come across so far have had squared heels and/or toes, and what I'm looking for is something that looks sort of like this:

Anyone come across anything like that?

TIA! :hug

Lion Brand has one on their free patterns that might be what you are looking for. They show it in the fun fur, but I never use what they are calling for most of the time.

In my Caron newsletter for their 12 days of X-mas they have a door stocking that looks like the one you want. I am making them for my Grandkids because it is really big and you can stuff lots of presents in them. I haven't started them yet, so i better get a move on, you think?

I made this one. Only, I made it with a white heel and toe and a white top, and a solid middle in red. It turned out really nice, and was quick.

Lionbrand does have at least three nice ones. You have to be a member to get the patterns. Don't know if you are or not.

Patricia Hewitt has a few that look nicely 'foot shaped', you have to wait a while for the page to finish loading, the patterns are listed with thumbnails on the left hand menu. One is made with motifs, the other 3 are fairly simple, all done in rows in increases/decreases instead of a separate heel, toe etc.

Darsa,

I made 15 or so of these last year and they worked up right nice.

I made 6 of these ones this year.

You can make them a solid color and when joining them use the same color. Also when you do the last 6 rows at the top use a single strand of yarn and a single strand of "fun fur" and you can get a "furry" top.

You could just do this one in one color.
