Carol taught a tapestry crochet workshop here in Huntsville back in October, but I was unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts. You can read more about it on her blog post (http://www.tapestrycrochet.com/blog/?p=488).

Check out the main page of Carol's site to see a number of different things you can make with tapestry crochet. Scroll down to the bottom to see a lot of pics (http://www.tapestrycrochet.com/). What's really great is that she makes patterns for both right AND left-handers. As a lefty myself, this is much appreciated!!!

Mmm... I've been thinking of other uses for this bag as well! Sounds like it would fit a bar of soap nicely, so it could be used as a soap sachet for drawers. I wonder if it could be a soap scrubber pouch for the shower (oh, the exfoliation!), or would that make it keep felting?

Done in dark evening colors, a purse for those nights when all you need is chapstick/lipstick and some cash.

Possibly a small purse for a little girl. Or a pouch for a little boy (they like to carry things around, too, like matchbox cars and rocks!).

We don't HAVE to do the felting, do we?

No, which parts of the class you use are totally up to you. You can just be there to read through all the felting information so you'll have the knowledge if you want to use it in the future.

Your class projects aren't going to be graded, and we don't require that anybody shows pictures of what they've made. (Although we hope everyone who has access to a digital camera WILL post pictures!) So nobody but you will really even know if you don't felt the case, unless you tell everyone. :)

We don't HAVE to do the felting, do we? Nope! You don't have to do the felting. If you just want to do the tapestry crochet and beading, or even just the tapestry crochet, you are welcome to leave it at a that. :yes

JoAnn, please don't feel you're dimwitted. :) Tapestry crochet uses graphs to make the patterns, but Carol isn't going to be teaching how to make your own in this class. You'll be using a graph to make her cell phone case, but not creating your own graph.
