I used this pattern: http://store.nobleknits.com/fittobetishp.html
I'm fairly happy with the outcome (although the sleeves are too long). I should have used the yarn or one similar to the yarn used in the pattern. The problem is that I hated making this. It's in too many pieces and way to much sewing is needed. Also, I think the pattern for the sleeves was way wrong, as they ended with having only 8 stitches the way it was written. There is no way 8 stitches, no matter how large they are, are going to fit around any part of my arm.
I think this could have been made in 1 piece with no sewing, and I'm planning on trying that soon. Anyway here it is.

Well, it may have frustrated you in the making, but I think the end result is gorgeous. I absolutely love that color! Patty

It turned out well and it IS a lovely colour. You probably learned a lot during the process of making it. Can't wait to see your version.:)

I think it came out very pretty. It's funny though, "fit to be tied" :lol

You did a great job. I had looked at that pattern too, and was going to figure it out on my own, I like saving my money for yarn! Looking closely at the pic of the pattern, there is no way that there are only 8 sts for the sleeve.
I love the color, pink is one of my favs, you can never own enough pink!

It looks fantastic! And, btw, far less bulky than the pattern pic. Doesn't look like you used mohair, what did you use?
Such nice work! I may have to give that one a try...

Thanks so much. I used Berrocco Denim Silk. I think because the pattern calls for a size P hook, you could probably use anything. I just bought mohair though to try another one.

Very nicely done! I personally like the longer sleeves...but then, I have really long arms and have to add 2 inches to any long sleeved pattern I work (crochet or sewing...)

I joined the pieces together using this joining here http://www.*************************************/knowhow3.html#Joining%20motifs%20with%20double%20c rochet%20(dc) which made my life a little easier. Also, if you do make it, I would be very interested in what you think of the pattern for the sleeves. They didn't make sense to me. When I make it again, I'm going to just crochet the sleeves directly from the armhole, instead of making the sleeve separately, sewing or crocheting the seam, and then sewing or crocheting it to the armhole.

Adorable pattern!
I make notes when I make something for the first time... patterns aren't always accurate (so frustrating!) and of course when I'm making it for me, there are always length adjustments.
Good job!

it looks nice .. too bad you had to "amend" as you went along..
i would like to see how it turns out .. if you work it out to fewer pieces..
