Crochet candle "skirt"

I have seen at decorator parties, these doily type things that go around a jar top of a candle. Some have beads and some don't . Everyone I know loves candles so these would be perfect.

Not sure if this is what you mean but I LOVE this pattern from here http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=7703 I made it with a few less stitches. Maybe my glass was smaller, but at any rate I liked it smaller.

You could probably also take an edging you like and modify it a little. Or a necklace.
