I need a pattern for a sweater that is long sleeved, doesn't come up around the neck really, shorter in length (to top of hip hugger pants) and clasps in the front with only one button. :D Do you know of anything like this? I've searched a LOT and haven't come up with one!

The Sambuca Jacket from Doris Chan sounds like it would fit the bill.

You can find it in the book Amazing Crochet Lace by Doris Chan. I made one and love it.

I've just come across a couple of patterns on the Lion Brand site. Check out their free pattern selection.

In Doris's other book, Everyday Crochet, there are three cardigans that seem to fit that description.

Try this...

I've made the knitted version and like it so much that I'm contemplating trying this crocheted one.

How about this one:

I'm making this one right now and I love it. It's made from the top down so you'd be able to make it shorter.
