baby's "not socks" ?

Does anyone have a pattern for a pair of "not socks"? If I try really hard, I can probably make a pattern.:think What they look like are leg warmers for babies, that go from ankle to upper thigh. They are great for protecting knees when they start crawling, and just keeping them warm. any help would be appreciated!

Dot has some cute long baby socks which I am sure could be extended to thigh high. They are quick and easy and I have made many pairs. Zaraliz
