View Full Version : Pineapple shawl that fits

Okey I had to try the pineapple shawl again hopefully to fit this time. This time I used a thin Rayon Boucle yarn with an H hook. It is a shiny and very soft yarn. Excuse the jammie bottoms as that is not quite the fashion statement I was going for but it was the only time to get the pic.

Your pineapple shawl is beautiful. It's so elegant looking in that yarn. Do you mind telling me the brand name of the yarn you used?
Thanks...Debi

Thanks for all your wonderful comments, I really do appreciate them. I got thepattern here: http://www.angelfire.com/folk/celtwich/PineFan.html
The yarn I used was a rayon boucle blend I bought off of ebay and so there isn't a brand name but the seller is: Creeksoon and actually the name of the yarn is:
Pebble Beach~So Soft~Ziggy~Spaced dyed yarn.
Hope this answers your questions.

Yes I have started the pineapple doily shawl too but I think I misjudged on the yarn and went too thick. I am going to finish it anyways and give it to my grandma who will like it no matter what because I made it (plus she is almost 83 and hates any waste). I was going to make it for my SIL for Christmas but I will use a thinner yarn especially seeing how well yours turned out. About what weight was the yarn approximately? Sport weight maybe?
