My MIL finds the best,vintage yarn for me at yardsales!This shawl was made from Phentex 85% acrylic/15% mohair sportweight yarn she got in a tub with a bunch of other yarn for $10.There were three 7oz balls.By the hairstyles the models are wearing,I would say it's from the early '80's with a Kmart pricetag of $4.27.I used the Country Cotton Shawl (http://freecrochetpatterns.lionbrand.com/patterns/ccc-shawl.html) from the LionBrand site.Sadly,mohair makes me itch,so this will be sold or given as a gift.

Thanks to you all for the nice compliments.Even though I can't wear this shawl(Donna),I did enjoy working with this soft yarn.I still have a whole ball and a partial left,so I'll probably be making a poncho,too!
