Description: Learn the basic skills that will enable you to create a granny square purse:
Description and explanation of all the basic stitches, purse design, and construction
Discussion of options for different stitch combinations
Formula for calculating size of purse
How to read a chart
The art of creating and joining granny squares
Exclusive pattern designed just for this class included in class fee. By the end of this class, you will be able to create a granny square purse.
Supplies Needed:
DMC embroidery floss (can substitute with size 10 cotton thread or sock/fingering yarn)*
Crochet hook size 7
Yarn needle
*The square is crocheted in embroidery floss. If using DMC, Lynn suggests buying 15 skeins of contrasting colors and 30 skeins of the reds and pinks. You may substitute colors to your personal preference. If using size 10 thread or sock yarn, you should need one ball of each contrasting color and two each of the pinks and reds.
