My 2 granddaughters just arrived on 2/5 but they are preemies, nothing fits. I would appreciate anyone who is willing to share any patterns they may have. I am not great at crochet but am will to try anything.
The easier the better. Really thankful for any help or insight.
Thank you

I am new at this; if sharing patterns is against the rules I am sorry. Did not want to get off on the wrong foot.

When my son was a preemie back in 1988, I bought Cabbage Patch doll clothes for him to wear while in the NICU. I also crocheted a dolls bunting set for him to wear home from the hospital.

Congrats on the new grandbabies! My son was born a preemie right in at 3 lbs and I used smaller hooks for newborn patterns to make things smaller. We bought preemie sized clothes from the store and even those were way to big so home made warm things were nice. I usually used hook one or two sizes smaller then needed for the gauge in the pattern and that worked for us. The nurses had fun dressing him in his little clothes (they loved the tiny booties) and taking pictures for us. Small soft blankets are nice--we had one that was small enough to fit in the incubator he was in--the nurses used it rolled up to help prop him when they put him on his side or rolled it around him when he spent time on his back.
Super simple crocheted blanket--chain to desired width and single crochet until you have the length you want. I had a blanket that was about a 24" square and it was used for years. First as a roll for support and comfort and then as a blankie to carry around. Use worsted weight soft yarn and a size f or g hook. I found dc is easy for tiny fingers to get tangled in so sc is the best.

:cheerI would just use a pattern for a thicker yarn but make it will finer yarn and smaller hook.
Adjust the length as necassary.
I had a pattern book, years ago which was cardigans and jumpers for the whole family.
The baby sizes were made in baby yarn and the large mens were made in chunky.
The stitch numbers were exactly the same, just the length measurements were different.
Remember, Premmies can grow very fast once they get going so dont make too much in the very tiny size.
Hope this helps.
Have fun.
