afghan pattern

Hi -
I've been o the hunt for a particlar pattern--I have no idea what name it is or much but will try to describe it. I'm 99% sure was done in sc -main color is black, and is worked the width-not in strips.
You workfirst a rowor so of sc then a color of sc,then a row of black. As you go on you would work the black rows ogver the color rows--looks like spaces of color between the colors--anyone understand? It is very pretty Thanks
