March is National Crochet Month! For the first time, Crochetville is celebrating National Crochet Month by scheduling some special activities for the month of March 2009. We hope you will participate and help us share our love of crochet with others!
Celebrating National Crochet Month at Crochetville
New Forum: Crochetville now has a new forum called National Crochet Month (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=276) so we'll have one central place to share our ideas, activities, and inspiration for celebrating National Crochet Month.
Saturday Chit-Chat: Join us each Saturday in March for chat room-style conversation. On each Saturday (March 7, 14, 21, and 28) we'll start a new chit-chat thread to help keep us talking and motivated to celebrate National Crochet Month. Please read and post in that thread throughout the day on those Saturdays.
Special Discussion Threads: Please use these threads to share how you’re celebrating National Crochet Month. Find all the different threads here (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=276).

Learn a new crochet stitch or technique.
Experiment with a new yarn.
Visit your local library to see what crochet books they have.
Crochet for charity.
Select a special charity to crochet for during March.
Explore new charities you might like to crochet for. A good resource for finding charities is Lion Brand's Charity Connection (http://www.lionbrand.com/charityConnection.html).
Make new crochet friends.
Attend a local crochet meeting.
Join or start a local CGOA chapter (http://crochet.org/chapter.html).
Strike up a conversation with someone you see shopping for yarn. You can break the ice by asking if they know March is National Crochet Month!
Share Crochetville with a friend.
Tell a friend about Crochetville. You can print out some Crochetville business cards, write in your username, and hand them out to your friends. [NOTE: We're not quite ready with the business card. We'll post a thread about it when we have it ready later this coming week.]
Tell a friend about Crochetville's online crochet classes.
