Coming soon: Use this pretty Crochetville business card (lovingly created by Donna) to tell a friend about Crochetville. The cards feature our logo and URL. There's also a space for you to write in your username so your friend can find you.

[Note: We're not quite ready with the business card yet. Please check back later this week for the file.]

Look at the bottom of this post to download a pdf file. You can print the cards on perforated business card pages or on regular cardstock and cut them out yourself.

Don't forget to let your friend know about all the classes we're offering in March. There's still plenty of time to register for many of the classes!

How else have you shared Crochetville with your friends?

Tell us all about it here!

I tell people about the 'ville every chance I get....I usually run into somebody in the patterns or yarn section of JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby each time I go. I haven't seen anybody here that I recognize yet, though! :P

I'm glad you started this thread, because I was considering PMing you the other day and asking if it would be OK to post a sheet telling about Crochetville at my local JoAnn's. (With their permission, of course.) They have crochet classes there, so there must be some interest in crochet.

Would that be allowed?

We'd be happy to have anyone post a flyer in their local craft store telling about Crochetville. We'd probably ask that you let us review it before you post it (with the store's permission).

If you want us to, we can probably even create a ready-made flyer for people to download and print.

For those of you who would want to post a flyer like this, please send me a PM and let me know what kind of information you'd like us to put on it. What do you think we should mention about Crochetville? As a member, you may have much different ideas than we do about what would grab your interest and get you to visit the site. :)

I love the business card idea, too!
As far as the flyer goes, I'll give that some thought as to what I think should be on it and send you a PM, Amy. I don't think places that offer classes would be very open to having a flyer that announcing online classes, but there are lots of other wonderful things about Crochetville we could tell them about! :) (And they'd find out about the classes when they got here! :lol)

I love the business card idea. :crocheting I work in retail and have met several crocheters that I've told about Crochetville. It would be nice to have a card to hand out. :ty

I went and bought a cheap deck of cards at the dollar store.... and wrote the crochetvill web site on it along with my user name to hand out to people!!! So I guess I made my own! I also use card to put my phone number and address to give to people. I found that it was cheap and unique so people don't lose it so easy!

I was doing my devotions this morning when my mom, http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=96922 called and told me that she had just gotten off the phone with a customer service representative for a sweater order she had just placed. While talking to the lady she found out that the rep was a crocheter and mom told her about this forum that her daughter was part of for crocheters. The rep showed interest in the website so my mom got her email address and then called me and told me to send her the website so that she could join. I sent her the address to crochetville and then I found this post. I think we should have a pretty electronic address card that we can hand out and be able to put our username on it too. Just a thought.

oh yes, crochet isnt very popular in England, which can be very annoying, you go to a wool store, and they havent got the thigns you need, that special yarn that i like to use, (forgot) but yeah. I will definately use it to promote at my college :)

Today, at the doctors office, I told the lady who took my blood all about Crochetville. (she remarked on a crocheted bag I was carrying and the conversation just blossomed from there) I just wish I'd thought of printing up some of those cards and putting them in my project bag. I did give her the web address though (as well as the address for CPC).

So, the moral of the story is: you never know where you'll be when the conversation turns to crocheting!

I shared with a client in Dallas area...told her to give my name as a referrer. (I'm an ATT business account manager) She crochets as well as scrapbooks.
