Mary Beth Temple (MBT (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/member.php?u=5943) here at the 'Ville) has asked me to be her special guest on tonight's Getting Loopy (http://www.gettingloopy.com) podcast.

The show is broadcast live at 9 PM Eastern time on Blog Talk Radio. You can listen to the show live or download it later from the Getting Loopy website or iTunes.

The podcast also features a live chat room. Hang out in the chatroom and talk with other crocheters during the podcast. Sometimes Mary Beth is able to read a chatter's question or comment on-air.

Past guests on Getting Loopy include our own Kathy White (katchkan), Myra Wood, Vashti Braha, Dee Stanziano, Nicky Epstein, Robyn Chachula, Kim Werker, Dora Ohrenstein, Carol Ventura, Doris Chan, and Amy O'Neill Houck, among many others. You can check out all the past episodes at Getting Loopy or iTunes as well.

That's great news. I don't think I've ever listened to the Getting Loopy Podcast yet. I'll have to remind myself to check it out tonight!

Amy, I don't know where you find the time and have the energy to do all that you do.

The podcast was fun to listen to - and to think there will be a new section on C'ville coming soon. I am not going to say what it is - if members read this then they will just have to go and listed to the podcast to find out what it is!!!!!

I tried to sign up for the upcoming contest but I couldn't figure out where it was on the forum, so if anyone knows, please let me know

Great job Amy :cheer:cheer

Janet, do you mean Mary Beth's contest for the giveaway? Crochetville donated a tote bag (winner's choice of design pattern) from our Cafe Press store (http://www.cafepress.com/crochetville). The winning entry for the tote bag will be drawn by the guest on next week's Getting Loopy (http://www.gettingloopy.com) episode.

To enter the contest, you just have to send an email to the email address given during the show. You also have to type the "magic word" in your email. I had to think of the magic word on the spot! Talk about pressure! Anyway, you'll have to listen to the episode to get the magic word, everyone. (Please nobody post it here. Let's give Mary Beth the listener traffic and have everyone listen to her blog on either blogtalkradio or iTunes.)

Thanks for the nice things you're saying, everyone! I had a really great time appearing on Getting Loopy last night. It's sort of nerve-wracking knowing you're talking "on the fly" without a script with lots of people listening live and even more who will listen later.

But Mary Beth does such a great job of directing the conversation, asking questions, making you feel comfortable. It was so much fun being on the show.

I really encourage everyone to listen not just to the episode with me, but to all her other episodes. Every show I've listened to so far has been informative, enjoyable, and fun!

So please go listen to lots of episodes of Getting Loopy!

You did a great job. I enjoyed putting a voice with a picture. You have a lovely southern accent. I was very suprised at the statistics of this site and to think it was never formally advertized. You and Donna obviously have fulfilled a great need among us crocheters. I have seen lots of other forums but none have come close to this one!

I can't wait to listen to the whole thing! I clicked out of by mistake last night had to start from the beginning but there wasnt enough time to go through the whole show so going to listen again today! It took me a while to figure this out myself, but you can fast forward or rewind through an episode. Just use your mouse to slide the gray bar back (for rewind) and forth (for fast forward). There is also a pause/play button. I'm attaching a screenshot.
