Soap Dresses/ Potholder

Ok, I was really wanting to make something neat for my kitchen swap partner but I couldn't think of anything until I looked in my moms cabinet full of dish cloths and stuff and saw her old Soap Bottle Dress (made it for her a long time ago) so I decided to make another one. Ended up with this and I just couldn't stop making them. Made 5 in 2 days. They are super fun and don't use a full skein of Peaches and Cream (the regular sized skeins). They use VERY little when it comes to the contrasting color too.
The first 2 pics are of the exact same dress. The idea is you can dress up your soap bottle or use the dress for a hot pad.
The second pic is of the stitch pattern and the last 2 pics are of the 2nd and 3rd dresses made from my own design.

I hope to have the pattern ready for testing next week. It will then be posted in my etsy shop for sale.

Oh, I love them - I got one for my kitchen and one for the bathroom in two different swaps and I thought DH was going to have a fit because he doesn't like stuff like that on things that he uses, but lo and behold, he didn't say a thing - actually, now that I am thinking, I wonder if he even noticed them!!!!:lol
