Beginner Blogger Seeking HELP

OK i must be really stupid or something, but i am totally stumped about how to use buttons on my blog. I want to put buttons in my "links" section but i dont know how exactly. :think Can someone help me? Pullleeese?

First you have to save the button to your computer. I'm guessing you did that.
Then you have to upload it to a site that allows linking, like Photobucket (http://photobucket.com/)
Log into your blog account and go to the editing page. Find where you want the buttons to go.
Use this code without the *
<*a href="address/URL you want image to click to"><img src="your button.gif(or jpg)" border="0"*></a>

That should do it.
