Hi, everyone! Sorry I'm late getting this thread going.

What are you doing crochet-wise today?

I'm doing a bunch of Crochetville maintenance type stuff. How about you?

Forgot to say: I'll be around most of the day today, popping in and out amongst doing household chores.

DH told me last night that he'll probably have to work almost every day for the next 2-3 weeks. He's written some software for the international space station, and NASA has reps from about 6-8 different countries in right now. They've brought their hardware and software with them, as they try to get their systems to connect properly to his software interface.

It's all a bit beyond me!

DD is about to go over to a friend's house for the day, and DS is going to spend the day attached to his Xbox Live playing games online with his friends.

I have something shameful to admit: I don't even have a crochet project on the hooks right now! I need to sit down with my stash and patterns and figure out something to make.

Hi, Amy,

Have you been looking through your patterns today to decide what you want to crochet next? I have been crocheting some today; I'm working on an afghan called "Boxed Shells," I think. I found the pattern online; it is very easy and relaxing, something nice to work on when I don't want to concentrate too much. Ha! Have a good day!

I'm going to meet another fellow crocheter, and great friend, for coffee and after we will probably head over to her house to work on projects. I'm working on my socks for my class today! :)

I am planning on re-tackling a prayer shawl I'm making with homespun. I was losing patience with the homespun, put it aside and made a simple scarf and have vowed to tackle the shawl once again. It is on the arm of my chair calling for me to work on it!

I have to do a few more rows on the preschool raffle blanket. DH and both DS are camping this weekend.

My younger DS (the one who made my Avatar) would love to hear all about working with/for NASA and computers! COOL!

I started a Playful Primaries kid blanket (pattern from one of the early Vanna White books) earlier this week with a yarn kit from my Project Linus chapter that I checked out last weekend. There were 3 different colored purples (all RH) in the kit, so I've added a skein of white out of my stash. So far, I've only made 1 each of the four different blocks that make up the pattern, but I think it's going to come out great. Very mod-looking, so hopefully something that will age with baby. Two of the colors only had one skein each, so I'm going to continue making one block of each color combination in a round to make sure I have the right number of squares, and will join and edge everything with the color that had two skeins.

After I do my taxes today, I'll be crocheting squares--that's my reward. Not housekeeping--that's no reward for doing taxes! Patty

Well, :lol:lol I have been :crocheting ever since my feet hit the floor this morning. My spring break is almost over so I vowed that these last two days I was going to do nothing but :crocheting before heading back to classes on Monday. I am working on a RR for a classmate, a scrap round ripple for another friend, squares for a scrap ghan that I started last nite, and I am going to start working on the border of the ghan my aunt started for her grandson before she passed away a few months ago. I may also work on a few hats, as I am really trying to use up a lot of these little balls of scrap. Hope everyone has a fabulous day and will be checking back in to see how everyone is doing with their projects. Pick up those :hookand have fun :crocheting!!!!!!!

I found a dishcloth pattern I HAD to try :lol I had some great orange sherbert Peachs N Cream yarn just calling out for it. :yes Now that it's finished, back to the RR for my grandson for his birthday. I'm doing it in light gray, black and black camo yarns. It's looking better than I had imagined it looking. :hook

I am surfing the 'ville webpages looking for inspiration to help me quit procrastinating.:P I am also working on a prayer shawl using the corn on the cob stitch design. And trying not to think about the baby blanket that I don't want to edge or the other prayer shawl I ran out of yarn for :eek I have totally decided that whether my family agrees with me or not that my obligation to :crochetingcomes before doing anything else :heehee :haha :laughroll :rofl oh well.. It was a nice thought for about a second ;)

I'm 3 motifs done on the Katie Bolero from Blueprint crochet. I am in love with Robyn Chachula and all of her patterns :lol but this one leaves me feeling stressed out. I cannot get into a rhythm with the motifs yet and I have to have the book right under my nose to follow the pattern. :(

I am working on a shawl for a dear friend and next door neighbor who just got home from having surgery done. I am 50% done, but I have been busy all week doing some running around. So I am hoping to get it finished this weekend now that I have slowed down.

I am going thru "crochet withdrawls" :lol
I am in a cast because an extra piece of bone on my wrist is cutting into a tendon/ligament and causing tons of pain. I am on complete immobilization (except for fingers) and not allowed to crochet for 3 more weeks (at least).
I am enjoying reading what everyone is doing.... I miss crocheting so much!!!!! :cry :sigh

Today, worked on my grandson's RR until I ran out of the light gray yarn. More is on it's way and should be here by Tuesday. :yay Once this grouping of gray (4 more rows) is done and the row of black is added, I think it will be ready to do the finishing row of the black/white/gray camo yarn! or a grouping of 8 rows of camo and then a finish row of black. Haven't decided yet. :lol

Then, turned to making some hats for the 2009 hat swap. Was only going to do the one, but another pattern called out to me, so made a second one. These could be addictive!

Yep, I'll take a picture of it when it's finished :lol Should be in next couple of weeks. I thought about the shades of gray, but decided that I really only wanted the light gray and I love the way it's coming out! Have a yarn order on the way here and will be starting one for my oldest for her birthday in sage mary, light sage and dark sage.
