We are excited to announce a new activity here at Crochetville: special crochet-alongs (CALs) that will be sponsored by various yarn shops. For each sponsored CAL, Crochetville will partner with an online yarn shop that will offer a discount to the CAL participants.
These sponsored CALs will be a great opportunity to experiment with yarns that typically cannot be found at discount or craft stores. By participating in a sponsored CAL, you'll get to try a yummy yarn at a discount, and we'll all be working on our projects together!
All of the sponsored CALs will take place in our new forum called Sponsored Crochet-Alongs (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=296). Our first event will be a sock CAL in April, which you can read all about here (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=97554). We intend to host several additonal sponsored sock CALs this year if the first one is a success.
We would also like to expand this program to include CALs for crocheting things other than socks. If you have a suggestion for a sponsored CAL (such as a type of project, specific pattern, specific yarn, or a yarn store to sponsor the event), please send us your idea by using the Contact Us (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/sendmessage.php) form (the link is at the bottom of every Crochetville page).
