View Full Version : Another Tie-Front Shrug

A couple of weeks ago I started a thread about this Shrug:
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y64/TepperWear/Tie-Front.jpg
made from this pattern: http://store.nobleknits.com/fittobetishp.html. The end result was fine, but I hated making it. It was made in 5 pieces and had to be put together and I hated it. I wanted to make a similar thing, but in 1 piece with minimal finishing. And I actually did it. At first it was way to small, but I was able to add a few rows around the neckline and now it fits great. I'm thrilled with this one. It's made out of Mohair, and is a bit itchy. Oh well, you can't have everything.

You did a great job on it! The color is really pretty too. What brand of yarn is it made of? Donna

Lovely! I need to make my own...either something dainty in thread or perhaps with the two skeins of blue RH Plush I have on hand. (This threadie doesn't have much yarn stash!)

I'm not sure if I can share the pattern, since I based it on someone else's. Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

That turned out great. I love the colors. I have had my eye on Moda Dea Divine (think I have that right) that has that texture but seems really soft. I may try to give it a shot. If I purchase the pattern, could you let me know what changes you made? I definitely like yours better.

Fabulous job! I know how irresistable that mohair yarn is, it's just so pretty and feminine, and yet, slightly itchy. I guess that's the price you pay for fashion.;)

Yeah, I can do that. PM me when you get it. My way is so much easier, and I think you have a lot more flexibility with the sleeves, which I really like.

No I don't think you can as it is for sale and the designer has the copyright (right to copy) to it.
