Here is our chat thread for this weekend. What crochet projects are you working on today?

I'm going to spend the afternoon looking through magazines and books to figure out what new clothing projects I want to make to wear at the Chain Link conference in August.

I also need to figure out what sock yarn I'm going to buy from The Loopy Ewe for our special Sponsored Sock CAL (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=97554) in April. There's so much yummy sock yarn there, it's hard to narrow down my choices.

I worked on a RR using Joann's Boucle Sensations. Later tonight when I work I'll also work on finishing the squares I've started. The RR and squares are going to Sissie for VJGC. I might also work on my wrap. I started it using Patons Rumor and Solomon's Knot. Perfect stitch for the yarn.

I'm working on a potholder for my BFF...using Patricia Hewitt's Scallop pattern. I've never made one of these before and I love the way it's turning out. I'll post a picture when I'm done.
I'd also like to find a pattern of a bunny to crochet for my baby granddaughter for Easter. I'm going to look for one of those later.
We're having a blizzard here in the plains. It's :snow so heavily that you can hardly see across the street. 6-13 inches predicted!!! Perfect day for crocheting. Last weekend, I was working out in the yard. That's Kansas for ya. If you don't like the weather, wait a day and it'll change!
:2snow
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

My friend's brother passed away last Friday night of a sudden heart attack. She is up north with family until the 6th. I am going to make a prayer shawl this week for her.

I definitely don't miss the snow! But I do wish it would just rain. A nice day with just rain. We really need it here. And yep, that would be a perfect day to crochet.

I'm sorry to hear about that. :hug

DBF and I went to see "The Haunting in CT" this afternoon. There was one scene I jumped so badly I literally threw popcorn out of the bag! I'm not even sure why I jumped either, it's not like I wasn't expecting something to happen :lol

I went to AC Moore to stock up on some yarn- Vanna's Choice was on sale 1.99/skein, as was Caron Simply Soft and RHSS. Planning on making lots of scarves for gifts this Christmas so wanted to stock up. I had never used Vanna's Choice before and asked a very nice woman who was buying some how she liked it. Turns out she crochets and knits, and she was soooo friendly.:) She told me about a group that meets every Mon night in a nearby town- all ages, all skill levels- she invited me to come-:):woo. I'm very excited:yay

I'm working on a shawl made from baby alpaca yarn (soooo soft!) for my mother-in-law. However, I underestimated how many skeins I would need and now I have to place another order just to be able to finish it! This is going to be an expensive project - at least I know she'll appreciate it (and more importantly, take good care of it!)

Snoopy, It's always nice when you know a project will be well recieved.

I have finished one skein on the prayer shawl. 4 more to go. I got sidetracked- again- yesterday and made a hat for the Ukraine orphanage project.

Of course that side tracked me from the prayer shawl which side tracked me from the preschool blanket!!!

It is a good thing that none of the projects in my list are needed before November!!
