Miffy the Bunny

Materials needed

Worsted weight yarn white, blue and black

Size G hook

Polyester fiberfill

You will not be joining the rounds, instead use a marker.

Miffy

Head and Body

Rnd 1. With white, Ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook, do not join. (6)

Rnd 2. 2 sc in each sc around, do not join. (12)

Rnd 3. *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc* around. (18)

Rnd 4. *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc* around. (24)

Rnd 5. *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc* around. (30)

Rnds 6-10 sc in each sc around.

Rnd 11 *Decrease, sc in next 3 sc* around. (24)

Rnd 12 *Decrease, sc in next 2 sc* around. (18)

Rnd 13 *Decrease, sc in next sc* around. (12)

Stuff the head with fiberfill.

Rnd 14 *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc* around (18)

Rnd 15 *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc* (24)

Rnd 16 *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc* (30)

Rnd 17 *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc* (36)

Rnds 18-20 sc in next sc around

Rnd 21 *Decrease, sc in next 2 sc* around. (27)

Stuff body with fiberfill.

Rnd 22 *Decrease, sc in next sc* around. (18)

Rnd 23 Decrease even around. (9)

Thread yarn through each stitch and pull tight to close hole. Weave end of yarn in.

There will be no decreasing for the ears, arms and legs.

Ears. Make 2

Rnd 1 Ch 2, 4 sc in second chain from the hook. Do not join, place marker. (4)

Rnd 2 *2 sc in each sc* around. Do not join.

Rnds 3-7 sc in each sc around. Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.

Stuff.







Arms. Make 2

Rnd 1 Ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook. (6)

Rnd 2 *2 sc in each sc* around. (12)

Rnds 3-12 sc in each sc around. Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.

Stuff.



Legs. Make 2

Rnd 1 Ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook. (6)

Rnd 2 *2 sc in each sc* around. (12)

Rnd 3 *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc* around. (18)

Rnds 4-9 sc in each sc around. Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.

Stuff.

Sew ears, arms, and legs to body in their appropriate places.

Using black embroider face.



Dress. 7 inches across arms.

Dress will be made in two parts, and you will need a front and a back.

Upper section

Row 1 Ch 27, sc in second chain from hook, sc in each ch across, ch1 turn.

Rows 2-9 sc in each sc across, ch 1 turn. At the end of the last row fasten off.

Lower Section.

Row 1 attach yarn with slip stitch in the 6th st of the last row of upper section. Sc in same space as sl st, sc in next 17 sc, ch 1 turn.

Rows 2-5 sc in each sc across ch 1 turn. At the end of the last row fasten off.

This is front of the dress. Make another one for the back.

Sew the front and back together along underarms and down the sides.

Sew shoulders together about 2 inches long from the opening of sleeve.

Leave a three inch opening for Miffy’s head. Turn dress right side out.
