Hello!
I am looking for amigurumi patterns for a couple of the characters in the movie Monsters vs. Aliens, specifically B.O.B. and Dr. Cockroach.

Here's what they look like in plush:

Thanks for any pointers!

You're going to have to work them out yourself. I know, not the answer you were looking for.
This movie just came out. I would be extremely surprised if there was anything legally licensed yet. Anything else isn't legal and it's in violation of the board rules to tell you where (if any) patterns might be found.

You could look at CPC for patterns that you might fiddle with to get what you want:

Rachel, movie characters are copyrighted and trademarked (usually). A designer/publisher would need to make licensing arrangements or receive other permission from the copyright/trademark owner to distribute patterns featuring the characters, whether the patterns are made available for sale or for free.

Licensing arrangements are very expensive, which is why you very rarely see licensed patterns for anything. The designer/publisher just can't sell enough patterns to make back the costs of the licensing arrangements. And that's assuming the copyright/trademark owner would even bother to discuss or respond to the designer/publisher. Many companies won't even respond to you if your company doesn't sell $XXX amount of revenue each year and hasn't been in business XX number of years.

Some people do make unlicensed versions of patterns available. However, on the advice of our attorneys, to make sure we don't encounter any legal issues related to contributory trademark/copyright infringement we cannot allow links to, discussion of, or hints at how to find any unlicensed patterns.

As Empress Busy Bee said, your best bet may be to find amigurumi patterns that are similar in shape to what you're looking for and then modify them to meet your specific needs.

Thanks! I was hoping they'd have capitalized on crochet's popularity and rolled out some patterns already. :P
