Is this the one (http://www.marymaxim.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10003_50001_3074457345616750502_-1_3074457345616686294_3074457345616686295)by any chance. I wasn't quite sure from your description as to what a ripple with shells might be.

This might be off the wall, but your description made me think of a 'granny ripple' pattern. The 3-dc segments of the granny squares are sometimes called shells. There are a couple of granny ripples on crochetpatterncentral.com.

Rosebud1st and Darski for your help and patience as far as the pattern
I am seeking. I realized for one think that the pattern is way too large
to be posted here and was also informed by you Darski about uploading the pattern to photo bucket. I will work on that tomorrow. My brain is
done trying to understand posting pictures (especially when I can see it
on my computer and no one else can. I will try posting this one again when I figure out what to do. They say learning one new thing a day is good for the brain!!! LOL That is my goal for tomorrow!!

Joanne

Again thank you both for your help!!
