I learned how to make Krystal's Daisy Square for our dear JoBug. My family always complains that I never make anything for us. So, I set out to make a lot of Daisy Squares. One of our neighbors is ill with some sort of lung disease where she doesn't get enough oxygen. She was very down about the whole situation of course. When our Pastor's wife told me what was going on, she also asked if I would make a prayer shawl. The Saturday before Easter, the ladies of my church get together to clean the church. We were planning on giving my neighbor a card basket, so I wanted to be finished by then. The only way I could do it was if I already had something started. Well, needless to say I will have to start over making more Daisy Squares!
I crocheted this with Vanna's Choice yarn and the Jimbo L hook I won recently. The Vanna yarn really worked great with the L hook because it is almost a chunky yarn. My hand never got tired or sore using my Jimbo hook! I wasn't sure how to put the squares together, but after much research I chose the single crochet method. The picture was taken before I washed it.

Thank you for all of your nice compliments! Doris called me on Monday to thank me. I had written on the card "It is not a dozen roses but I hope these will do". She told me daisies are her favorite flower! I replied, "You don't know how many times I make something (shawl, lapghan, afghan) for someone and I don't know their favorite color or anything. But it is usually right on." Her answer was,"You know who is telling you those little secrets." Yes, Mrs. Doris I do! :manyheart

It's beautiful. I'm making Krystal's daisy pattern with my Jimbo right now as a baby shower gift. I am fortunate enough to have a variety of sizes of Jimbos (thanks to my parents giving me money for Jimbo hooks for my last birthday) and now I dont' crochet with anything but a Jimbo!
Beautiful job, and I'm sure the lady who got it is thrilled.

I joined Krystal's group but I haven't attempted

one back to her soon.
