Change Tray for Dresser
Change Basket for Dresser By Julie Beveridge My husband always comes home with change in his pockets that ends up all over the floor so this now sits on his dresser for an easy way for him to throw it up there. I then bag it up when full and take it to coin star to use on groceries! I hope you enjoy. Supplies needed
1 half skein of chunky yarn any kind
(I used Serenity Chunky Weight Yarn by Premier in Moss)
Size K crochet Hook
Stitch Marker or contrasting color scrap yarn
Needles for weaving in ends.
Starting Chain 2
Rnd 1 (RS): 6 sc in second ch from hook; do not join. Place a marker in last
sc and move marker up with each completed rnd – 6 sc.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around – 12 sc.
Rnd 3: * Sc in each of next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around – 18 sc.
Rnd 4: * Sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around – 24 sc.
Rnd 5: * Sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around – 30 sc.

Rnd 8: * Sc in each of next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around – 48 sc.
Sides
DC in each SC around and slst to join.
BPDC into each DC around to make the rim. When I did this I actually went around the whole post from front to back and made a double crochet stitch. It made a nice rim around the inside of the tray. Join with a Slst and fasten off.
