Not sure what I'll be making just yet, but part of the challenge for me will be to use up whatever yarn is in my overflowing stash. No new yarn for this project, whatever the project turns out to be.

I read the Rules and Information thread, 16 days to complete a project. Hmmm... Two possible projects pop in my mind are snuggle wrap (using scraps) or tapestry socks that I didn't do for summer 2008 games.

I still have to check my WIMs list. Good thing, there is plenty of time to 'train' for the games.

Well, I've been wanting to make milobo's top down sweater or lacey cardigan sweater, and I even have the purple hemp yarn that I bought to make it with. I've only made one wearable, and while it's serviceable, it's far from perfect. So a wearable would definitely be a challenge to me, given the time frame (especially if I'm teaching a class again along with working full time next semester).

Oh, and those of you contemplating entrelac: go for it! I taught myself to do it in one sitting, so it's really not hard, even though it looks it.

Patty

While I admire everyone's thread work here, one of my favorite sayings has been, "I'd rather stick the hook in my eye than try to crochet with thread!" I tried years ago and was frustrated by it. Maybe I'll give it a whirl for the games!

I think I may have found a pattern I'd like to try. The Arrow Stitch Afghan.

I will probably change my mind a dozen times but I gotta start somewhere.
