Thank you, Kim

I was able to find a K afghan hook at my local hobby lobby. I'm excited to learn a new stitch and felting!

I found a J afghan hook and a couple of colors of the Patons yarn that I liked, so i sort of have supplies to begin the class. I'll go sign up now.

Not too sure I'm going to like the shape of the hook I got---it's Susan Bates but shaped more like a Boye. Now I'm wondering about investing in a wooden hook, or trying out bamboo. Does anybody have any suggestions as far as specific kinds of hooks?

I think that you'll find that there isn't much difference when you're working with Tunisian. You hold your work and your hook differently. So, while you may be a fan of Bates when doing traditional crochet, you probably won't be much concerned about it when doing Tunisian crochet.

Kim, thanks for the input, that is good to know. It sounds like I should wait to get started with the class before I invest in any other hooks.

I just wanted to post in this thread so that I can check to see if you have automatic subscriptions set up. I'm not sure whether it's default or not. If you've received an email saying that there has been a response in this thread, then you should be fine. I'll post in this same manner once I've posted the class materials on Friday morning.
