Learn Tunisian Lace: Beautiful Lacy Afghan with KIM GUZMAN, JULY 2009
Class Cost: $10.00 Registration Dates: Registration is now open. Click here for details on how to register for classes. Class Begins: Friday, July 10, 2009 Skill Level: Beginner--Student should be comfortable with single crochet. Description: Learn a special lace stitch pattern in Tunisian crochet to form a beautiful lacy afghan. Students are welcome and encouraged to use the same lace stitch pattern in other projects, such as a scarf or shawl, should they be interested in something other than an afghan. The stitches and stitch pattern used have been designed to rid you of that annoying curling that is so easily found when learning Tunisian crochet. Like my Tunisian Pillows class, I'll show you yet another way to avoid that curl! Two separate texts will be posted on the first day of class. The first will be an individual tutorial for the stitches. The second will be the pattern itself. (Yes, a full pattern designed by Kim Guzman will be included in your class fee!) Supplies Needed:
Maximum Number of Students Accepted: Approximately 25 First Lesson Posted: Friday, July 10, 2009 Last Day Class Material Available: Friday, July 31, 2009 Student Policies | How to Register | Register Now! |

Welcome, everyone! I am the teacher for this class and I am available for any questions you may have before class starts.
This is a really neat class where you will learn an interesting Tunisian crochet technique. We'll be working on an interesting Tunisian lace stitch pattern I developed which will banish the myth that all Tunisian crochet must be dense. You can create lace as well!

There are currently 4 Tunisian books on the Annie's Attic top 20 most popular patterns (subject to change daily, of course):
http://www.anniesattic.com/crochet/popular.html Given the current popularity of Tunisian crochet, I am hopeful that it will start getting easier to find the hooks.

I ordered a couple of hooks. I really hope they get here before Friday. Also, my dad has been in the hospital and most of my days have been there. Hopefully he will be better by Friday and I can be home for the class for a while.
