Afghans Inspired by African Kente Cloth with AMY SHELTON--NOV 2009

Skill Level: Advanced beginner (double crochet, seaming). Small swatch of sample pattern: Description: Kente cloth is a type of cloth native to the country of Ghana that was developed in the 12th century. Kente cloth is readily identified by its dazzling, multicolored patterns that feature bright colors, geometric shapes, and bold designs. During this class you'll learn a little about traditional Kente cloth patterns, what the traditionally-used colors symbolize, and how to graph your own original patterns to make Kente-inspired afghans out of "saltines" (two-row granny squares). Supplies Needed:

Do you have a picture of the finished project? I'm having a difficult time imaging what it will look like. It sounds interesting though.
