Pretty Spaces Square (6" or 12" inches)(3 pics)

It's going to be a long while before I can get a good pic of the 12"inch square up, I don't have a digital camera and the disposable camera I have was already filled up. This is my first 12" inch square pattern and is a little more intricate then some. If any one find any errors or have any problems with pattern please give me a pm. Thanks.

Materials:

Worsted Weight Yarn (like Red Heart Supersaver yarn) in any solid color
Size H hook (5.00mm)
Yarn Needle

Finish Sizes: 6”h x 6”w inches or 12”h x 12”w inches

Note: For 6 inch square follow directions for Rnds 1-8 and then do Alternate Rnd 9 for last Rnd.

Different Stitches:

V-Stitch (vst): (1dc, ch1, 1 dc) all in next ch1 space.

Directons:

Rnd 1: Ch2, 8 sc in 2nd chain from hook, join with sl st to first sc.
(8sc)
Rnd 2: Ch1, 1 sc in same st as joining, ch5, skip next sc, [1 sc in next sc, ch5, skip next sc] Do this 3 times, join with sl st to first sc.
(4sc, 4-ch5 spaces)
Rnd 3: 4 sc in next ch5 space, [sl st in next sc, 4 sc in next ch5 space] Do this 3 times, sl st in joining sl st from Rnd 2.
(16 sc, 4 sl sts)
Rnd 4: Sl st in next sc, ch3 and turn (so wrong side is facing you), skip sl st, sl st in next sc, [ch5, skip next 2 sc, sl st in next sc, ch3, skip next sl st, sl st in next sc] Do this 3 times, ch5, skip next 2 sc, sl st in next sc (Note: this sc will have a sl st in it), turn (so right side is facing you).
(4-ch5 spaces, 4-ch3 spaces)
Rnd 5: Sl st in ch5 space, ch1, (1 sc, 2 hdc, 1 sc) all in same ch5 space, ch2, 3 dc in next ch3 space, ch2, [(1 sc, 2 hdc, 1 sc) all in next ch5 space, ch2, 3 dc in next ch3 space, ch2] Do this 3 times, join with sl st to first sc.
(13dc, 8hdc, 8sc, 8-ch2 spaces)
Rnd 6: [Ch4, skip next 2 hdc, sl st in next sc, ch2, skip next ch2 space, sl st in next dc, ch2, skip next dc, sl st in next dc, ch2, skip next ch2 space, sl st in next sc] Do this 3 times, ch4, skip next 2 hdc, sl st in next sc, ch2, skip next ch2 space, sl st in next dc, ch2, skip next dc, sl st in next dc, ch2, skip next ch2 space, sl st in joining sl st from Rnd 5.
(12-ch2 spaces, 4-ch4 spaces)
Rnd7: Sl st in next ch4 space, ch3, (2 dc, ch2, 3 dc) all in ch4 space, 3 hdc in next ch2 space, 3 sc in next ch2 space, 3 hdc in next ch2 space, [(3 dc, ch2, 3 dc) all in next ch4 space, 3 hdc in next ch2 space, 3 sc in next ch2 space, 3 hdc in next ch2 space] Do this 3 times, join with sl st to top of ch3.
(24dc, 24hdc, 12sc, 4-ch2 spaces) (60sts total) (Ch3 counts as dc)
Rnd 8: Ch3, skip next dc, 1 hdc in next dc, (1 hdc, ch2, 1 hdc) all in next ch2 space, [* 1 hdc in next dc, ch1, skip next dc, 1 hdc in next dc, ch1, skip next hdc, 1 hdc in next hdc, ch1, skip next hdc, 1 hdc in next sc, ch1, skip next sc, 1 hdc in next sc, ch1, skip next hdc, 1 hdc in next hdc, ch1, skip next hdc*, 1 hdc in next dc, ch1, skip next dc, 1 hdc in next dc, (1 hdc, ch2, 1 hdc) all in next ch2 space] Do this 3 times, Repeat from * to * once, join with sl st to 2nd chain of chain 3.
(40 hdc, 28-ch1 spaces, 4-ch2 spaces) (Ch3 counts as hdc and ch1)

If doing 6 inch square follow these directions, if not skip Alternate Rnd 9 directions and go on to Rnd 9.

Alternate Rnd 9: Ch1, 1 sc in same st as joining, 1 sc in ch1 space, 1 sc in each of the next 2 hdc, (2 sc, ch2, 2 sc) all in next ch2 space, [1 sc in each of the next 2 hdc, (1 sc in next ch1 space, 1 sc in next hdc) Do this 6 times, 1 sc in next ch1 space 1 sc in each of the next 2 hdc, (2 sc, ch2, 2 sc) all in next ch2 space] Do this 3 times, 1 sc in each of the next 2 hdc, [1 sc in next ch1 space, 1 sc in next hdc] Do this 5 times, 1 sc in next ch1 space, join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends
(84sc, 4-ch2 spaces)

Rnd 9: Sl st in next ch1 space, ch4, 1 dc in same ch1 space, skip next 2 hdc, , (2 dc, ch3, 2 dc) all in next ch2 space, [skip next 2 hdc, (vst in next ch1 space, skip next hdc, 1 dc in next ch1 space) Do this 3 times, skip next hdc, vst in next ch1 space, skip next 2 hdc, (2 dc, ch3, 2 dc) all in next ch2 space] Do this 3 times, skip next 2 hdc, [vst in next ch1 space, skip next hdc, 1dc in next ch1 space, skip next hdc] Do this 3 times, join with sl st to 3rd chain of ch4.
(28dc, 16vst, 4-ch3 spaces)or(60dc total, 16-ch1 space, 4-ch3spaces) (Beginning ch4 and dc counts as v-stitch)
Rnd 10: Ch3, skip ch1 space, dc in next dc, ch2, skip next 2 dc, (3 dc, ch2, 3 dc) all in next ch3 space, [*Ch2, skip next 2 dc, (1dc in next dc, skip next ch1 space, 1 dc in next dc, ch2, skip next dc) Do this 3 times*, 1 dc in next dc, skip next ch1 space, 1 dc in next dc, ch2, skip next 2 dc, (3 dc, ch2, 3 dc) all in next ch3 space] Do this 3 times, Repeat from *to* once, join with sl st to top of ch3.
(56dc, 24-ch2 spaces) (Ch3 counts as dc)
Rnd 11: Sl st in next dc, sl st in next ch2 space, ch3, 2 dc in same ch2 space, ch1, skip next 3 dc, (3 dc, ch2, 3dc) all in next ch2 space, [(ch1, skip next 3 dc, 3 dc in next ch2 space) Do this 5 times, ch1, (3 dc, ch2, 3 dc) all in next ch2 space] Do this 3 times, [ch1, skip next 3 dc, 3 dc in next ch2 space] Do this 4 times, ch1 and join with sl st to top of ch3.

Rnd 12: Sl st in each of the next 2 dc, sl st in ch1 space, ch3, 2 dc in same ch1 space, ch1, skip next 3 dc, (3 dc, ch2, 3 dc) all in next ch2 space, [(ch1, skip next 3 dc, 3 dc in next ch1 space) Do this 6 times, ch1, skip next 3 dc, (3 dc, ch2, 3 dc) all in next ch2 space] Do this 3 times, [ch1, skip next 3 dc, 3 dc in next ch1 space] Do this 5 times, ch1, join with sl st to top of ch3.

(72sc, 64-ch3 spaces) (Ch1 and hdc counts as final ch3 space; this will be the first ch3 space you work into for Rnd 14))
Rnd 14: Ch1, 1 sc in ch3 space, [ch2, skip next sc, 1 sc in next ch3 space] Do this 3 times, ch3, skip next 2 sc, 1 sc in next ch3 space, [ch3, skip next 2 sc, 1sc in next ch3 space, (ch2, skip next sc, 1 sc in next ch3 space) Do this 14 times, ch3, 1 sc in next ch3 space] Do this 3 times, ch3 skip next 2 sc, 1 sc in next ch3 space, [ch2, skip next sc, 1 sc in next ch3 space] Do this 10 times, ch2 and join with sl st to first sc.
(64sc, 56-ch2 spaces, 8-ch3 spaces)
Rnd 15: Ch1, 1 sc in same st as joining, [1 sc in next ch2 space, 1 sc in next sc] Do this 3 times, 2hdc in ch3 space, (2 hdc, ch2, 2 hdc) all in next sc, [2 hdc in next ch3 space, 1 sc in next sc, (1 sc in next ch2 space, 1 sc in next sc) Do this 14 times, 2 hdc in next ch3 space, (2 hdc, ch2, 2 hdc) all in next sc] Do this 3 times, 2 hdc in next ch3 space, [1 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next ch2 space] Do this 11 times, join with sl st to first sc.

This is a beautiful square!!! I can't wait for some free time to play around with to make some. They would make great afghans, throws, pillows, wraps....the possibilities are almost endless!!! for posting the pattern
