My two little ones are going to a new home and a new mommy so I wanted to make them special outfits for their trip. I'm not sure I can give up designing for CPK's as they are just so adorable but we shall see what we shall see. And may God bless their new home. Work 5 tight ch as a button loop. (30 dc) Row 2: dc in 1st dc, *BPdc over next st, dc in same st, dc in next* rep to end (15 BPdc, 29dc) secure but DNBO black Row 3: att white yarn …sc in 2, {work in Back loops only from now until last 2 sts}sc in 1, *2sc in next, sc in 3* repeat to last 2 sts, sc in last 2 .Note: don’t work into the ch loop. Row 2: work the row in hdc working increases at the ends so as to keep the sole flat. Row 3: work a row of sc increasing only as needed to keep the sole flat. Break off black. Turn sole ‘good side’ down to continue. Row 4: attach white. Hdc around sole working in back loops only. Row 5: hdc dec, hdc to last 2 sts, hdc dec, Row 6: work in hdc working 8 decreases at the front. Row 7: hdc dec, continue in had making 3 dec at the front. Hdc to end. Break off Make yarn ties with BROWN and weave through top row . tie tightly enough to keep booties on but be able to get them on and off as well. Kufi hat… Join all rounds for top. With white… ch 2 Row 1: 8 hdc in 1st ch, join – 9 hdc. Row 2: 2 hdc in each hdc – 18 hdc Row3: *hdc in 1, 2 hdc in next* rep to end-27 hdc Row 4: *2 hdc in 1, hdc in 2* rep to end.-36 hdc Row 5: hdc in 2, *2hdc in 1, hdc in 3* rep to end – 45 hdc Flip hat good side down and work a row of FPsc around edge.- row 6 Row 7: ch 1 turn. work about half the row in sc and half in hdc. This is assuming that you are starting each row at the back so the hdc sts should be at the “front’ of the hat to give it a slight rise. Row 8: hdc evenly around. Secure but DNBO white. Row 9: att black and work a row of sc around. Break off black Row 10: work a row of sc in white. Break off white Row 11: att brown and work a row of hdc. Break off and tidy all ends. Add trims if you wish but it does not seem to be the custom.
