Flower and Trebles Square 8"inches

Been feeling creative this week, spent today and yesterday typing patterns up. This one took me awhile to figure out how I wanted to word it and how to explain the sts, so I'm really hoping this makes sense and doesn't make anyone go loopy. I know the title is a little lame on this one but my creativity is burned out. Please send me a pm if you find any errors. Thanks.

Materials:

Worsted Weight yarn (like Red Heart Supersaver yarn)
Size H hook (5.00mm)
Yarn needle (to weave in ends)

Finish Size: 8”h x 8”w inches

Different Stitches:

Double Crochet Popcorn Stitch (DCPST): 5 dc in next sc, take hook out of loop (from 5th dc), insert hook in first dc of 5 dc, and then back into dropped loop,, pull loop thru first dc.

Front Post Double Treble Crochet Stitch (FPDTCST): Yarn over 3 times, insert hook from front to back around post of specified st and then to the front going thru other side of st, yarn over, draw up a loop, [yarn over, draw through 2 loops] Do this 4 times.

Treble Crochet (TC): Yarn over 2 times insert hook in specified st, yarn over, pull up a loop, [yarn over, draw through 2 loops] Do this 3 times.

Incomplete Front Post Treble Crochet Stitch (IFPTCST): Yarn over 2 times, insert hook from front to back around post of specified st and then to the front going thru other side of st, yarn over, draw up a loop, [yarn over, draw through 2 loops] Do this 2 times

Notes:

IFPTCST its self does not count a stitch. Its combine with other IFPTCST’s to form a st.

IFPTCST is always worked around dc of Rnd 7.

Combined Front Post Treble Crochet St (CFPTST): At this point you should have 3 IFPTCST on your hook, yarn over, and draw through all 4 loops on hook. (This will combine the 3 IFPTCST together into 1 stitch) (CFTCST counts as 1 stitch)

Directions:

Rnd 1: Ch2. 6 sc in 2nd chain from hook, in with sl st to first sc.
(6sc)

Rnd 2: Ch3, 4 dc in same st as joining, take hook out of loop, insert hook in top of ch3 and then back into dropped loop, pull loop through 3rd chain of ch3 (this it the beginning DCPCST), [ch3, DCPCST in next st] Do this 4 times, ch3, 4 dc in next sc, 1 dc in joining sl st of Rnd 1, take hook out of loop. Insert hook in first dc of the 4 dc and then back into dropped loop, pull loop thru first dc (this is the last DCPCST), ch3, join with sl st to first chain used to make first ch3 space.

Rnd 3: Ch2, 4 dc in each of the 6-ch3 spaces, join with sl st to first dc.
(24dc)
