Materials:

Worsted Weight Yarn (like Red Heart Supersaver yarn) in 2 contrasting colors.
(Color A and Color B)
Size H hook (5.00)
Yarn needle (to weave in ends)
Stitch Marker (or a piece of yarn)

Finish Size: 8”h x 8”w inches

Notes:

Beginning ch3 for Rnds 1,3,5,7,9,10 counts as dc throughout.

Every even Rnd ends with turning your work, except for Rnd 10.

Directions:

Rnd 1: With Color A ch5, join with sl st to first chain to form a ring, ch3, 2 dc in ring, [ch3, 3 dc in ring] Do this 3 times, ch3, join with sl st to top of beginning ch3.
(12dc, 4-ch3 spaces)

Use Stitch marker to mark as Right Side.

Rnd 2: [Ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch3 space, sl st in next st] Do this 3 times, ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch3 space, join with sl st to joining sl st of Rnd 1, turn.
(8-ch3 loops, 8 sl sts)

Note: Rnd 3 is worked in front of the ch3 loops and into the skipped ch3 spaces on Rnd 1. Do not work in any of the ch3 loops made from Rnd 2.

Rnd 3: Sl St into ch3 space, ch3, (2 dc, ch3, 3 dc) all in same ch3 space, [ch1, (3 dc, ch3, 3dc) all in next ch3 space] Do this 3 times, ch1, join with sl st to top of beginning ch3.
(24dc, 4-ch1 spaces)

Rnd 4: Ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch3 space, sl st in next st, [ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch1 space, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch3 space, sl st in next st] Do this 3 times, ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch1 space, join with sl st to joining sl st of Rnd 3, turn.
(16-ch3 loops, 16 sl sts)

Note: Rnd 5 is worked behind the ch3 loops and into the skipped ch1 spaces and ch3 spaces on Rnd 3. Do not work into any of the ch3 loops and sl sts made from Rnd 4.

Rnd 5: Sl st into ch1 space, ch3, 2 dc in same ch1 space, ch1, (3 dc, ch3, 3 dc) all in next ch3 space, [ch1, 3 dc in next ch1 space, ch1, (3 dc, ch3, 3 dc) all in next ch3 space] Do this 3 times, ch1, join with sl st to top of beginning ch3.
(36dc, 8-ch1 spaces, 4-ch3 spaces)

Rnd 6: ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch1 space, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch3 space, sl st in next st, {[ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch1 space, sl st in next st] Do this 2 times, ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch3 space, sl st in next st} Do this 3 times, ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch1 space, join with sl st to joining sl st of Rnd 5, turn.
(24-ch3 loops, 24 sl sts)

Note: Rnd 7 is worked in front of the ch3 loops and into the skipped ch1 spaces and ch3 spaces on Rnd 5. Do not work into any of the ch3 loops and sl sts made from Rnd 6.

Rnd 7: Sl st in to ch1 space, ch3, 2 dc in same ch1 space, ch1, (3 dc, ch3, 3 dc) all in next ch3 space, [ch1, 3 dc in next ch1 space, ch1, 3 dc in next ch1 space, ch1, (3 dc, ch3, 3 dc) all in next ch3 space] Do this 3 times, ch1, 3 dc in next ch1 space, ch1, join with sl st to top of beginning ch3.
(48dc, 12-ch1 spaces, 4-ch3 spaces)

Rnd 8: Ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch1 space, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3 skip next ch3 space, sl st in next st, {[ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch1 space, sl st in next st] Do this 3 times, ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch3 space, sl st in next st} Do this 3 times, ch3 skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch1 space, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next st, sl st in next st, ch3, skip next ch1 space, join with sl st to joining sl st of Rnd 7, turn.
(32-ch3 loops, 32 sl sts)

Note: Rnd 9 is worked behind the ch3 loops and into the skipped ch1 spaces and ch3 spaces on Rnd 7. Do not work into any of the ch3 loops and sl sts made from Rnd 8.

Rnd 9: Sl st into ch1 space, ch3, 2 dc in same ch1 space, ch1, 3 dc in next ch1 space, ch1, (3 dc, ch3, 3dc) all in next ch3 space, {[ch1, 3 dc in next ch1 space] Do this 3 times, ch1, (3 dc, ch3, 3 dc) all in next ch3 space} Do this 3 times, ch1, 3 dc in next ch1 space, ch1, join with sl st to top of beginning ch3.
(60dc, 16-ch1 spaces, 4-ch3 spaces)

Finish off.

Rnd 10: Join Color B with a sl st to any ch3 space, ch3, (1 dc, ch3, 2 dc) all in same ch3 space, {*1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, [1 dc in next ch1 space, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts] Do this 4 times*, (2 dc, ch3, 2 dc) all in next ch3 space} Do this 3 times, Repeat from * to * once, join with sl st to top of beginning ch3.
(92dc, 4-ch3 spaces)

Rnd 11: Ch1, 1 sc in same st as joining, 1 sc in next st, (2 sc, ch2, 2 sc) all in next ch3 space, [1 sc in each of the next 23 sts, (2 sc, ch2, 2 sc) all in next ch3 space] Do this 3 times, 1 sc in each of the next 21 sts, join with sl st to first sc.
(108sc, 4-ch2 spaces)

Finish off and weave in ends.
