Amigurumi Alien

This one was my first attempt to keep track of how I do things and make a pattern out of it. Try it out!

Body
Chain 2
Rd 1: Work 5 sts in first ch.
Rd 2: 2 sc in each st around (10)
Rd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around – (15)
Rd 4: 2 sc in each st around (30)
Rd 5: Sc in each st around, in back loops only
Rd 6‐9: Sc in each st around
Rd 10: *Sc2tog, sc in next 3 sts; rep from * around – (24)
Rd 11: *Sc2tog, sc in next 2 sts; rep from * around – (18)
Rd 12: *Sc2tog, sc in next st; rep from * around – (12 )
Rd 13: Sc2tog (6)
Fasten off.

Eye sockets, make 2

If you want to, you can make both eye sockets in the same length. I made one shorter.

Chain 2
Rd 1: Work 6 sts in first ch.
Right socket: Rd 2‐7: Sc in each st around.
Left socket: Rd 2‐4: Sc in each st around.
Rd 8 (left 5): 2 sc in each st around (12)
Rd 9 (left 6): *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around – (18)
Fasten off.

Eyeballs, make two
With white, chain 2
Rd 1: Work 5 st in first ch.
Rd 2: 2 sc in each st around (10)
Rd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around – (15)
Rd 4‐5: Sc in each st around.
Rd 6: *Sc2tog, sc in next st; rep from * around – (10 sts)
Rd 7: Sc2tog (5)
Fasten off.

With black thread, make a pupil in each eyeball. Attach them to the eye sockets. Attach the eye sockets to the body, place them where you want them. With yellow thread, make a little happy smile. Done!

That's a pretty awesome alien. Your alien has a lot of character and I love the way the eyes are. You almost expect it to start juggling it's eyes, sorry my imagination is getting ahead of me. Your alien is really neat though and congratulations on the pattern.
