Sock Monkey

I was asked to crochet a 'pair' (boy and girl) of sock monkeys for a family in the community that needs special assistance this Christmas. Apparently this is all the daughter wants. I only have a pattern for a sock monkey bookmark pattern. Does anyone know where I can find a pattern fast and, if possible, one for a girl and boy monkey? Thank you.

Maggie's Crochet ~ $4.50

Homespundelight's Blujay store ~ $3.00

Velona Needlecraft ~ $4.50

Of course, none of these prices reflects the shipping. That varies by vendor. If you need it tomorrow or the next day, I have one that you can borrow if you're willing to pay the shipping on it. (I need the leaflet back b/c I have a sock monkey in progress.)

CatsCradle:

Thank you. I have dealt with Maggie's and Velona's before; both are slow shippers. I emailed Blujay and have not yet received a response. Thank you for your offer but I don' want to interrupt your WIP. I know how that goes.

What kind of yarn is used for the speckled brown?

Thank you very much for your quick response.

you hold 2 strands together, tan and aran.

I got my book off of ebay, but I have not finished a monkey yet only started one.

Thank you so much for the link to a reliable seller. I think this will work. Thank you all for your generosity in responding to this request. I now know where to get a pattern and the right yarn to use. Hooray.

I'm making my monkey in LB wool-ease sport--wheat and mushroom. My kids love it and are already playing with the legs and tail!
